We have assessed our wickets today. Both grounds have witnessed considerable downfalls in recent days and we feel that –especially after last weekend when we all travelled and a ball was not bowled – to cancel both sessions- Under 15 and Under 17 – would be the wisest decision. This despite the fact that Saturday is looking to be a reasonable day. Sunday is potentially going to be showery.
What does cancellation now mean for the Under 15 age group?
Your next session is MAY 27TH at City of London 10 for 10.30am. Contact David Goodchild 07817087426. Please confirm by e-mail that you are able to attend.
What does this mean for the under 17 age group?
Your next planned session is MAY 27TH.
However at least 6 potential squad members are away on a National course and others have potential clashes with exam revision.
We have therefore decided to cancel MAY 27TH and revert to traditional methods of

a. Discussing at length your progress with your County coach

b. Visiting matches

The abandonment of one and the cancellation of a further 2 sessions will mean that only JUNE 29TH remains. That day is to be used for a fixture versus Essex to be played at Billericay.
We will by then have reduced our numbers to about 18 and a final selection will be made at the end of the game.
We are disappointed to lose much of the pre-selection time and we will make every endeavour to ensure that selection for the squad remains a competitive undertaking.
